SUMMER SCHOOL OPTIONS

Summer School – classroom setting at Walton High School

May 31st- June 21st-Classes are Monday thru Friday with the morning session running from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and the afternoon session from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Each ½ unit costs $275. Academic courses are available for credit recovery only.  Health and Personal Fitness may be taken for initial credit. Attendance is required.  Do not plan vacation at that time.  Students who miss a day of class will be withdrawn with no credit earned.  Students must provide transportation.  Registration forms are available at the bottom of this page and must be submitted by noon on Tuesday, May 30th.Cash or cashier’s check accepted only.  Registration does not guarantee placement in any particular class.

Summer School – Blended online/classroom setting at Sprayberry High School

 

June 19- July 6th-Classes are Monday thru Thursday with the morning session running from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, the afternoon session from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and night session from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Each ½ unit costs $275. These courses are for credit recovery only.  Students must attend 10 sessions. Students must provide transportation.  Registration information is available at www.cobbk12.org/summerprograms and takes place from May 1- June 12th.

Cobb Virtual Academy

Check the website for registration at the CVA Learning Center, Oakwood.  Each ½ credit costs $275.  Students may take 1 credit over the summer.  Students should begin work as soon as they receive the “Welcome to CVA” email with login and orientation.  You must be available during testing time for a face to face exam for the EOC.

 

GA Virtual School

This on-line option is available if the course is not available through Cobb Virtual Academy.  Cost - $250 per ½ credit.  Students can take 1 full credit over the summer.
